After getting into Frauenau two hours later than I planned yesterday, it was fun to go exploring today before Katharines course starts tomorrow. This was one of the first things I saw in a window - a little lathe like the ones we are going to use tomorrow in "Hell", so named by Herr Eisch, who is upstairs painting in the "heaven" studio. As it is going to be at least 32 degrees tomorrow, and heat rises, we shall see who is in hell!
The Glas Museum gives Bild Werk students a discount and a reusable ticket, jokingly encouraging you to come everyday to study the glass. Bild Werk organiser, Mark Angus, whom I met in the town bakery thinks Katharine will be too strict on our work/study hours to be able to do this! However, I'm coming back at least twice more. There is so much glass to look out that I have only ever seen in a textbook, and you learn so much from physically being able to examine or move around the object. Roll on tomorrow when we meet as Bild Werk 2015 for the first time.
